All their useless marketing aside ("colors 3x brighter with Epson!"), you just want to know one thing: is this the best projector for my money? Having tried a number of projectors in the ~$300-400 price range, here's a rundown of your best options: (all prices at time of writing)

~$420: Epson VS330. All around good for the price, and bright enough for lit rooms. Also has the best resolution (1024x768 vs 800x600) of any of these projectors - something you can skip on if you'll just be watching TV and movies - but worth the investment if detailed PowerPoint diagrams are in your future
